New York University: NYU - Global: Abu Dhabi: AD_Arts and Humanities: AD_Anthropology

Description

The Division of Arts and Humanities at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications in Socio-Cultural Anthropology. We welcome applications in any sub-field of the discipline but we are keen to make an appointment in Environmental Anthropology (understood broadly to include not only the climate crisis, the anthropocenic turn, and multi-species research but also the study of energies and infrastructures). The position is a non-tenure track, and open rank appointment (Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor). The course load is 2/2. We seek candidates with innovative and active research profiles whose work is open to inter- and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate that their work intersects with the region broadly conceived.

Successful applicants will join a small but engaged and forward-looking group of anthropologists and will be able to contribute to both undergraduate and graduate teaching in a multi- and inter-disciplinary context.
